Toastmaster Yue led us through a fun meeting attended by 12 Toastmasters, and one guest Fred H.

Announcements

President Dave opened with some announcements.

The Area Contest is next Thursday, April 1 at Consumers Power. Come support our contestants!

We will be going back to only two speakers per meeting, due to time constraints. To give people extra opportunities to speak, we are considering having a special "Speaker's Night" meeting, either for our club or in conjunction with the other Corvallis clubs. Expect an e-mail from Dave to gauge interest.

Dave will be populating the schedule for the next few weeks. He will send an e-mail about this as well.

Speeches

Shaheen gave his Icebreaker called "The Story of My Story of Trying to Find the Story of My Life." We learned about Shaheen's business venture and also got a dose of his sense of humour.

Meltem did the "Off the Cuff" project from the Specialty Speeches manual. She had to prepare for five different topics and then speak on one of her evaluator's choice. Glen asked her to speak on "Food Rules," in which Meltem gave us some simple rules to eating better.

Bianca's table topics involved giving her advice on what to do when she visited various world cities.
