February 19, 2010 Business Meeting Minutes

I. Call to order
President Dave Taylor called to order the regular meeting of the Oregon State Toastmasters at 12:00 on February 19, 2010, in Room 119 of the Crop Science Building.

II. Attendance
Secretary Kris Hauser took attendance. 18 members out of 25 active members were present, making a quorum.

III. Approval of minutes from last meeting
Secretary Kris Hauser distributed the minutes from the last meeting via e-mail prior to the meeting. They were approved by unanimous consent.

IV. Committee reports
There were no reports.

V. Old business
There was no old business.

VI. New business
A. Kris Hauser moved that: “the club award a Toastmasters manual to a member each time the member earns a Toastmasters educational award beyond the first Competent Communicator award. The manual shall be chosen by the member from the club’s inventory on hand at the time of the award.” Jim Barbour seconded. The motion passed.
B. Kris Hauser moved that: “the club offer Toastmasters manuals from the club’s inventory for sale to club members for $3.00 each now through June 30, 2011. Sale will be limited to manuals on hand at the time of purchase. This motion shall not include the Competent Leadership manuals currently in the club’s inventory.” Jim Barbour seconded. The motion passed.

VII. Adjournment
President Dave Taylor adjourned the business meeting at 12:06.
